If You’re Unhappy, What are You Unhappy with?

Let’s be honest, if you are reading this blog post, it’s likely because you have a goal in mind, a problem you want to work through, but find yourself repeatedly stuck with it.

Maybe you think about it more than you should, more than you want to, and just want it fixed.

Here’s the good news, you totally can fix it, it’s just a question of your ability to do the simple long term consistent actions. The only question is are you ready to do it?

Let’s Keep it real.

These blog posts all come from somewhere, this one comes from a chapter in my upcoming book. This chapter which focuses why quick fixes don’t work? They don’t work because they don’t focus on long term, behavioral changes.

I found this out the hard way when I was frustrated in my dating life, and I opted to pay a dating coach to re-do my dating profile, thinking all I needed was a new dating profile to be happy in my dating life, guess what I wasn’t.

That quick fix didn’t work because I wasn’t willing to do the actions, I needed to do that would lead to more joy in my dating life. Which actions was I not willing to do, I wasn’t willing to go out and talk to girls, ask them out decisively, and go for that first date kiss.

I wasn’t willing to express my romantic interest, in a genuine, congruent and authentic way that was me.

How did it feel?

It felt horrible, to not be willing to do the things you want to do and think about. It felt horrible to want to do one thing, and not do it. It felt painful.

It was so painful I looked for someone else to fix this pain. A dating coach, specifically a dating coach who told me if I just fixed my dating profile, my dating life would be, '“unlimited.” Guess What, I did fix that dating profile, and went on a lot of dates with a lot of hot girls, it wasn’t unlimted.

Because I never committed to changing my actions, day in and day out.

That’s why I write these blog posts.

So you can committ to the long term, daily actions, so six months from now, you’re not in that pain you are in. You’re not fixating on a goal, you are just doing it and enjoying the progress you are making.

Six months from now, I want you to enjoy the struggles you are going through and grow from them. But here’s the truth. The one thing you have to do is this, long term commitment toward them. If you change your actions, you can change your story.

Let’s see how these long term, daily actions play out in our lives.

Getting in Great Shape:

If you want to get in great shape, then plain and simple you have to accept there is a long-term daily action you have to commit too.

Let’s be honest everyone is different, has different goals, fitness levels, and just a different starting point.

Maybe you need to commit to

A. 30 minute walk a day,

B. A little extra cardio in the gym.

C. Or an extra day, two or even three in the gym.

Maybe you need to commit to a change in diet, that’s realistic. Sure, a GLP-1 will help, but that is a tool, much like a dating profile or dating app is a tool.

The only thing that is truly going to get you into great shape is that long term commitment to diet, and exercise. It’s up to you to decide what that long term commitment is so you can get in great shape.

Fun Vacation

Maybe you are dying to go away with your friends, family, or a loved one. You want to go on a vacation where you ask no questions, say yes to everything, and don’t think twice about it.

While maybe you can’t afford it now, or not even three months from now, but maybe you can afford it six months from now, or even a year from now. You know that with a little money saved you’ll be on that vacation sooner than later, which is the point.

What’s that long term consistent action needed? Consistent savings each month, so go do it!

What about your career? Business? Your Direction

I want you to ask yourself, what do you need to do for long term, consistent action, so six months from now, you can look back, see progress, and also be enjoying the journey you are on.

Do you need make YouTube Video’s and blog posts (like this business). Do you need to study for a test or exam, a little bit each day.

Do you need to commit and set aside time to do homework, schoolwork, or just to plug away at something?

If you set aside the time, even for an hour, or half an hour, then you make the time to grow and commit to that action.

Next, you just need to set aside and pick out the action during this time.

What about your dating life?

What long term sustainable actions are going to wind up taking you a long way toward enjoying it? Is it

A. Just going out talking to girls

B. Is it being sure to always ask out the ones you are talking too?

C. Is it going to be making sure go for a first date kiss?

More importantly Why Are these Long Term, Simple Actions Needed for Your Growth.

Why are these actions going to give you long term sustainable success in growth and progress?

Let’s look at each of these areas. If you want to get in great shape, then simply being consistent with working out, and dieting, is going to have you feeling good, and not frustrated with what you used to look like, or how you used to be.

If you want to go on that fun, dream awesome vacation, then simply saving money each month toward that vacation will mean, eventually you’ll be on that vacation, without having to sacrifice or cut back on other parts of your life.

If you want to start a business, advance your career, then doing those simple actions everyday will mean progress, whether it’s in subscribers, followers, or just more knowledge you need for a test.

Lastly, telling a girl how you really feel, whether it’s in talking to her, asking her out, kissing her on a first date, means you’ll feel like you are able to express you’re romantic interest. Which is what you really want to do!
