Why you have to get the reps in if you Really Want to Grow
by Joseph Gherman
Let’s be honest guys, if you are on a page like this, or even writing this (yes I did call myself out), there is something you are not comfortable with, and an area you want to grow in.
Whether it is your dating life, your relationship, your marriage, or something else that is important to you, there is something you want to grow with. As people we are all growth oriented, which is why I write these blog posts.
I write these blog posts, and share these videos (embedded below), so we can all grow together. You see, I have to grow in this business, just like there is likely some area of your life you’d like to grow in, especially in your dating and relationship life.
Whether it’s in getting in great shape, saving for a fun vacation, moving along a career, or business, or just getting comfortable in your dating life, today’s therapy blog is all about getting comfortable with the reps you need for growth.
So tell me, what reps do you need?
If you’re reading this, I’m sure you know exactly the reps you need. The ones you need to do day in and day out, to experience the growth you really want too. If you want to get in great shape, or lose a few pounds, you know exactly what you need to do.
Maybe you don’t know exactly what you need to do, but you definitely know the action you need to take. The details like how long to work out, what days, and even the exercises, sets and reps, that comes second, after you take get reps you need to.
Maybe you want to go on that fun vacation. You know the reps you need to do are saving a few bucks and putting it aside each month or each paycheck. So when six months or a year rolls by, you’re on that fun vacation!
Yes I know six months or a year might be a long way away, but it’s going to come anyway. It might as well be that fun, or even better, that dream vacation. It starts today, getting comfortable with the reps (putting away the money to save for it).
What about in your career, your business?
I want you to ask yourself, what are the reps you need to take, to make sure you are moving your career forward, or that business you really want to start. For me it’s plugging away at YouTube everyday, for you it can be studying for a test.
Doing those reps, and getting them is simply done by setting aside the time (I’m a morning guy myself), simply chilling out, cutting out distractions and taking your time with what you need to do, like these blog posts.
What about your dating life? Your relationship?
What are the reps you really need to get comfortable with, and you have to get in? What are those reps you really have to get in so you can get comfortable with them? Is it going out and just talking to girls?
Is it being able to go up to that girl and say, “You're cute, what's your name?” Or if you need a warm-up set or two, is it just going out, and smiling at a girl you think is cute? It’s your reps guys, not mine.
I promise you if you ask yourself this question, you’ll get a good answer. What reps do I really need to get in to start to be comfortable with the growth I want.
Maybe you can’t get that rep or those reps every day, but you certainly can get them at least once or twice in a night out (after all, you have to start somewhere and then keep going).
What if you're in a relationship?
If you're in a relationship, one of the main things I work with men on is being able to be comfortable giving their girl the time and space they need. That rep usually sounds like, “Have Fun Babe (when she goes out with her friends for the night).”
I want you to take this blog post and be comfortable getting the reps you need to move your life forward, this way you feel good, like you are making progress and living within your values.
How the reps play out as actions you take, towards the goals and values
For example you might need to get the reps in like studying for a test you have coming up (that’s the action you need to take), for a goal you have (such as getting a good grade in that class, or getting a certain license).
Your value might be being licensed in something in your field or having a certain title, promotion or a degree, it’s your values guys, and it’s up to you live within them.
If you are not getting the reps in, then you are not going to be living within your values to reach the goals you want. Tomorrow we’ll talk about getting comfortable with this message of just getting the reps in.
In the meantime.
